Natural edge Florida Rosewood bowl

Rosewood is native to Central and South America , but this piece came from a tree that grew in Florida. The contrast between the light shade of the softwood and the deep coco shade of the heartwood is striking. I love the elegant lines and shape of this bowl. The natural edge is sanded smooth and soft leaving just a hint of the bark intact that once protected the tree from the elements.
